Mandarin Oriental will weave its rebranding magic on Venice’s charming San Clemente Palace Hotel, which sits pretty on its own private island, known for its palaces and picture-perfect gardens, in the Venetian lagoon.
This coveted destination is known to offer its guests privacy and tranquility on an expansive island studded with manicured gardens and spectacular lagoon views; but also a direct link to all the action in the heart of Venice by short boat rides.
Mandarin Oriental will run the San Clemente Palace Hotel till its seasonal closure in November 2025. The Venetian property will get a complete makeover in three phases of renovation. When it reopens in April 2026, it will officially be called ‘Mandarin Oriental, Venice’.
“The interior renovation will be entrusted to the design studio, Albion Nord. The reimagined property will feature 136 elegantly appointed rooms and suites, blending Venetian charm with Mandarin Oriental’s signature design philosophy,” the Oriental Group has said.
Travellers can expect Mandarin Oriental’s signature Asian-inspired hospitality and attention to detail in one of the world’s most romantic backdrops.
Talk about a good combination!
